I went to the beach yesterday. Thanks to liberal use of sunscreen I managed to prevent getting sunburned. Yay! I'm sure many are now aware of my intense dislike for the Sun. It's bright, it makes me hot, it burns me. I appreciate the fact that it's necessary for our survival and all, I just prefer not to have to go out in it.
I didn't always feel this way; for a long time I've had the dream of owning a boat such as this one
and living on it somewhere in the Keys. I would do nothing. I would have no job, I'd do math and write whenever I felt like it. I could just take off and go sailing for weeks at a time. Sail to Aruba. I'd live like a pirate; not like a real-life, historically accurate pirate, which was dirty, dangerous, and a lot of hard work, but rather as our modern-day romantic notion of a pirate. And I'd fly the Jolly Roger.
I'd actually rather have a catamaran than a single-hull, but Prout, the premier manufacturer of sailing catamarans, is no longer in business. I'll have to find a used one, which is probably a better thing anyway.
The cat's hatred of me grows daily as I continue to tormet her my cramming medication into her. Actually, she still likes me, but giving medicine to a cat is such a pain! I have battle scars to demonstrate this.
As promised, I watched Goodfellas this weekend. It was good.
That's about it, really. Now it's Monday, the start of another week. I'm already getting bored. I must find something to occupy my time. Perhaps I'll write something.
Anyway, have a good day everyone!

Right now I'm watching Star Trek: TNG. In the beginning of this episode Data is performing Shakespeare's Henry V in the holodeck. Picard is watching him. However, the part of soldier Michael Williams is being played by none other than a heavily made up Patrick Stewart.
There was also an episode where the crew members were performing a play of some sort, and when asked to play a part Picard stated something to the effect that he is a terrible actor.
I find these things funny because Patrick Stewart is, of course, a highly respected Shakespearean actor. I'm sure these references and others were intentional tongue-in-cheek.
