Don't you run back inside,
Darlin' you know just what I'm here for.
So you're scared and you're thinking
That maybe we ain't that young anymore.
Show a little faith, there's magic in the night
You can either stay and rot, or you can escape and burn.
Argh! They started operating heavy machinery in my neighborhood at 7:30 in the morning. Isn't that illegal or something? Some of us didn't go to bed until 3:00, and were trying to fucking sleep!.
Yesterday I performed the most vile act that I have done in many a long while. I did yard work. It was dreadful. But I had this giant pile of branches that has been accumulating at the back of my garage; whenever branches fell off my trees I'd just toss them on the pile to get rid of later.
It was all quiet messy, and by this time in the spring had weeds and trees growing up through it. So I cleaned that all up, put the branches in neat piles, and it all takes up much less room. Almost looks tidy. Now I just have to get rid of it all.
I also started removing all the little trees that are growing where they shouldn't be growing. The things are like weeds.
My back hurts.
I must write MathGirl today. She told me the last thing I sent cheered her immensely, as it expressed my confidence that she can succeed in grad school. Apparently she'd been worrying about that very thing. I done good.
I'm done patting myself on the back now.
