There is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy,
And God I know I'm one.

Whatever happened to the good, old-fashioned bordello? A house where a man could go to find entertainments of many kinds, sex being just one of them. A place with class and old world charm, where a man was made to feel welcome.

Maybe they still exist somewhere, perhaps in some secret place in New Orleans, or similar places.

I have a suspicion that these establishments died out around the same time that fast-food was invented. Now everything is about getting you in and out as fast as possible.

Not that I have any experience with places of that sort.

I got myself out of the house last night; some of my family was here from CA, and we went to dinner with them.

I then went to Best Buy and indulged my compulsion to buy movies. I picked up Gungrave Vol. 6 (when Vol. 7 comes out my collection will be complete), Star Wars Clone Wars Vol. 1, Pitch Black, and Rebel Without a Cause. James Dean was a pretty cool cat.

I have begun stage one of my plan to rule the world. This stage involves assembling the most frighteningly intelligent and beautiful women I can find. I have a few already, selected primarly from the ranks of SGs. These women will be my trusted advisors and the like.

I must still find more, however, before I can begin stage 2. I must also formulate a plan for stage 2, because I have no idea what stage 2 is; my mind has been occupied with stage 1.

It's raining today. I still can't wash my car! And it's really in need of it. Argh! At this rate it's never going to get it's bi-annual hard waxing. I must also take it in for an oil change and everything. Owning a car can be such a hassle!

But I hope you all have good days, dear readers. I don't know what I'd do without you all!

do you suspect it's possible that as more things became legal and accessible (like alcohol, semi-naked dancing, watching people have sex on video, and medical marijuana) perhaps the need to go to one centralized den of immorality became obsolete?

i'll admit though. it would be really cool to have a reason to put on my trashiest clothes and head out to my favorite spot where i would drink and play poker or gin rummy, and hang out with other folks of ill repute. as long as they were girls. whenever i put on trashy clothes and then go to a place with the opposite sex it's like one long night of fending off unwanted advances and lingering glances.

i rhymed!
