I'm going to be baking later today. Chocolate brownies with fudge frosting. Between the brownies and the frosting the recipe calls for about a pound of butter. Of course, they're quite yummy. oink

I got my hair cut yesterday; now I'm quite pretty. Well, maybe not pretty, but at least I don't look shaggy.

I accidentally sliced my thumb with a knife yesterday. Luckily my reflexes didn't completely fail me, and I was quick enough to avoid major injury.

I've been reading my copy of The Annotated Hobbit. I've decided I'm going to undertake the project of annotating the entire Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately, it's going to be quite a bit of work, and though I read a lot and am knowledgable about literature, I'm not really a literary scholar. Oh well. I need something to do.

I now have three friends! I'm moving up in the SG world. I also have nothing to do all day but sit and read the boards - this is how bored I'm getting. At least here I don't have quite as much trouble not arguing with idiots, as happens with Slashdot. All those people giving opinions on subjects about which they're not qualified to have opinions! mad

I desperately need to wash my car and give it a nice good waxing, but I have the nasty suspicion that's it's going to rain today. I just hope it's nice tomorrow for my party.

ha! i am now enthralled with the idea of getting to know you better. do you want to know how i realized this about myself? i looked through Gage's set to see what you're attracted to about it.

do you like swords? if so, have you seen this set: Daisho by Aya.

also, i read back a couple of your entries, and since you like fantasy/sci fi, i must ask, have you seen this set, and if so, what do you think? Viking by Amelie

oh yes, and i wanted to ask you if you're inviting friends and family to your graduation party, or just friends, or just school friends, or what? i never throw parties, so when other people do it, i'm morbidly fascinated with the process.

anyways, i just think you're neato. and i may have the ulterior motive that i have for a long time really wanted to go to minneapolis, and i like to do this thing where i meet people on SG in different states and then i get to see the state because i know someone there. it's like networking. and then, if you turn out to be a great human, and you like the network, it also means that whenever you're in kansas, you have someone to turn to. yay for that!

Trouble is, I don't want to teach. That makes the whole thing harder.

The book is just this random fantasy book I bought years and years ago. It's called Exiles: The Ruins of Ambrai, by Melanie Rawn. First in a three book series, but she'll probably never write the third one. It's been expected for a few years now.

Anything that requires a pound of butter must be good.
