You're in the park and walking on a path that's used by both pedestrians and cyclists. You want to stop and look around, maybe have a rest. Where do you stop? Do you stop in a place where you'll be easily seen and move off the path? Or do you stop on the blind end of a blind curve, at the bottom of a hill, in the middle of the path?

Apparently if you leave near me, you choose the latter. It happened to me about five times on my ride today. I didn't hit anyone, but it pisses me off because I have to slow down to a near stop to go by. Not only do I lose all the momentum I just built up coming down the hill, but I lose any momentum I had before coming down the hill besides.

It particularly pissed me off today, because it's once again terribly windy. I wasted a lot of energy having to accelerate my giant person against the blowing gusts.

I mean, really, I know people are idiots, but...
