The cat thought it was people. It sat up on its hindquarters and watched the computer monitor. Aww...

I've had a lazy day off so far. It's been raining all day. I did go to the store to get carrots, however, because I forgot them on Saturday. I don't mind carrots, but broccoli must be destroyed.

Ugh...now I must do laundry.

In good news, my fake stocks are almost even again. Damned simulated stock market! I'd been up about 40% YTD, and was pretty proud of myself, until the latest Wall Street apocalypse. Last week I was actually down 15%--the first time I've been down since I started playing. At least it's not real money, though. Making real money would be nice, but losing it would be awful.

Is this election thing almost over? I'm so tired of the vicious ads I could scream.

Doubtful, but I'm glad to know it nonetheless. Oh, Ginsberg. You and your hallucinogens and your anal sex and what not.

Why do you go for walks?

I've read some pretty interesting On the Road commentary. One of my friends in undergrad wrote about voluntary marginalization and did some research on him and Baldwin. Baldwin had some choice things to say about Kerouac.

I read this book when I was young, so a lot of the nuances of gender and sexuality were lost on me. I'd love to hear your conclusions...in a little less than a month. frown Fucking test. Rin actually hates the book - thinks it's a sexist piece of garbage. I don't doubt her analysis, and kind of want to read it again with this in mind.

Also, I like walking too.
