I think I may start engaging the services of professionals. You know...prostitutes. I think it may be a perfect arrangement. I neither need nor want constant companionship. Sex is good once in a while, though, and it would be nice to get it without having to deal with all the confusing people-things that are involved with a girlfriend. People-things that I don't understand. Things they expect you to do, and ways they want you to act. But they don't tell you what those things are; you're just supposed to know.

I think some people do just know, but not me. People are a mystery to me. So not having to do all that would be much easier. Pay her, and she goes away and leaves me alone. I could see her on my schedule, and not have to talk on the telephone and hang out when all I'd like to do is be a hermit.

I know I could have one-night stands and pick women up in bars and such, but then I have to go through all that lying and acting and other deception. It would be immoral. They might want something more, and get hurt when they discover I'm a surly misanthrope and mostly want to be left to myself. I try to be as honest as possible as often as possible. There's no illusion when you're hiring a professional. You both know what the score is.

It could also be less expensive in the long-run. Quality, attractive prostitutes are pricey, but so are girlfriends. Dates and gifts and all the rest; it adds up, and you're not even sure to get laid. You could spend a fortune and not have a thing to show for it.

Really, pros must be the way to go.
