sick

So my God damned car wouldn't start this morning. That was fun. I had to have my aunt pick me up and bring me to my mother's work, where I picked up my mother's car, and then went to my work. Then I left early, picked up my mom, and came home.

Now I have to have it towed to the shop. I suspect it's the starter, as there's no turning over at all. And the battery isn't dead. Dead starter on a 2001 Jetta. Stupid.

On the plus side, this gave me an excuse to leave work early today. And I was half an hour late. I love short days!

Now I'm just waiting for the tow truck driver. Luckily the shop it's going to is just down the street, so the tow bill won't be exhorbitant. Particularly since it'll all be covered by my roadside assistance program.

The shop isn't my usual VW dealership, though, but I used to bring my cars there all the time. Uncle works there. And the VW dealership is 15 miles away; I really didn't want to pay the tow bill for it. So it goes.

Hopefully it can get fixed soon! I hate not having a car!

On a random note, I've decided I like chihuahuas. Despite my well-known vow against never owning another dog, I think I'd own a chihuahua. And buy it cute little sweaters to keep it warm.
