I cooked a whole chicken the other day and I wanted to show the kids a wishbone. So, I carefully removed the bone from the carcass, cleaned it well, and let it dry in the window overnight. The next day I had The Boy grab one end and I the other. (The Girl was scared) We each gave it a tug and it snapped. Only, neither of us got the big half. The middle flew away leaving us both with a little skinny splinter. We looked around the room but couldn't find the "wish" part of the wishbone. Two days later, The Wife noticed The Dog limping and found a chunk of chicken bone stuck in her foot between the toes.
I that a sign or something?
