I don't care if I ever go outside again! I just saw that my bike has a broken rotor on the front brake. I don't have a car to commute with, so it's the bus for me.

GODDAMMIT!!!

I'm a grownup, but I haven't given myself enough of a financial cushion to buy new brakes....

ALLRIIIIIGHT...

I got through another Christmas. I actually love the holidays, but I hate the lead up. I don't get stressed or anything, but I do find myself getting overly excited on the last day or two leading up to J Man's birthday. Everyone always loves the gifts and the food I cook, but I still get a kick out of all the happy faces smile

Today is the winter solstice. Time for the world to take a nap for a few months. Dia's journal reminded me of the more somber moods associated with this time of year.
Try to forget about all the shopping and GOD stuff that christmas is supposed to represent. The tree is a symbol of life during dark times. There will be a Spring....

What really disturbed me was the flawed reasoning of that site, such as saying some guy's arthritis was caused by pasteurized milk. I'm sure some doctors talk out their ass, but I think the idea that diseases are good things that should be encouraged and only occur when the organism needs to be purified not only contradicts all the other information I've heard on the subject, but my own personal experience as well. Even their evidence itself was biased. For instance, they "disprove" a report that indicated 11 out of 13 cases of food poisoning in chees could be traced back to raw milk. They did mention other variables for three or four cases and attribute one to processed milk, but that still leaves 5 cases from raw milk and 3 from processed. They then go on to say that raw milk is safer than processed.

Nothing wrong with a person wanting to drink it straight out of the cow of course, but I'd go for week-old pasteurized stuff over week-old raw any day.

I went driving around today, trying to find a part time job.( I hate to do it, but the bills are stacking up ) I love seeing the aftermath of a storm.
