I've never written a blog before so bear with me. I'm not really sure what the big deal is about the holiday season. I view it as an excuse by the major corporations to suck even more of our hard earned money out of our wallets. I work hard for the things that I have and I don't need a "holiday" to buy nice things for my friends and family. I love my friends and show it to them with emotional support and, on occasion, will buy gifts for my friends. I do the same for my family and they do the same for me. All the major holidays have become so commercial that most people have lost sight of what the holidays are for. When the time comes for you give and receive gifts this year, think about why you're giving those gifts out and why you're receiving gifts in return.
