I'm still learning about all of this, so some of this might be wrong. I'm also not really sure how to go about explaining it. Traditional poi are, from what I've come to understand, balls on the ends of chains fastened to sticks. Zuni poi are a variation of those. Instead of just a ball at the end, there are long streamer-like things at the end. Supposedly learning to spin these will not only look really cool, but will help making a transition to spinning fire a lot easier.
