Thought I'd take a little time to write before class tonight. I had a blast yesterday evening with my friend, having beers and talking shit. We went to this new (well, new to me, anyway) bar called Kennedie's -- i think i spelled that right. Very cool decor, all very retro in a swingin' bachelor pad kind of way. It looks a lot like one...

I don't know what's wrong with me...I can't sleep for the life of me. Needless to say, days are becoming increasingly hard to navigate. This can't go on much longer...
I'm heading out tonight for a few beers with a former co-worker. Looking forward to it. Somebody needs to make an effort to get me out in public these days. I think I'm losing the...

Winter will drain you for sure. You need to take extra care of yourself this time of year, eating right, exercising all of that. My body clock is still way out of whack.
I still totally love the new profile pic. You look sexy as hell!
I don't know what will happen with the tattoo stuff. I get on a plane tonight and arrive there tomorrow morning. Honestly, if getting ink done is all it takes to make my nephew feel a little less alone in the world, then I'm happy to do it. I'm thinking it has to be Irish -- like a Celtic Harp or something.

Be sure to take pics once you get your new ink done. =)
After several weeks of letting everything slide, I've decided it's high time I get back to normal and start living again. The holidays just take so much out of me...I feel like I just sobered up.
Work is annoying me. Two weeks ago I had nothing to do and now I'm swamped. Add to that the fact that the nature of the business is circular,...

I'm so sick of this weather. I think I have seasonal adjustment disorder or something. Everyone in Wisconsin is getting it. But hey, you're getting some new tats and it's almost February. So things are looking up.
evildoc:
I know what you mean about the weather. It was cloudy late this afternoon and I wondered if it would rain. I didn't even have a jacket or umbrella.
I might get a tattoo this weekend. I told my nephew that he and his brother, and me and my brothers, and my dad, should all get the same tattoo. He's all over the idea and is really good friends with an artist. I was actually joking, knowing that his brother would never, and none of my brothers (or my dad) would ever, but I have a feeling there's no way I'm getting off the hook!
I have no clue what or where!

Saturday night and it's about time I get my ass out and do some socializing dammit. But I can't seem to tear myself away from this computer lately. I went out for a little bit today to buy some new discs: Jet, Mojave 3, Ted Leo...I know, I know, all old news but I haven't been keeping up on my homework so it's all brand...

where do you get ink around here??

It's too fucking cold to go out these days. =/ Like your new profile pic, btw. It's very cute!
Thankfully I seem no longer to be possessed by the evil hoochie hip hop girl. I actually slept through the night (first time this week) and woke up wanting to hear the Cure (aka the remedy for my condition). I also had this really crazy dream that I was being chased through a Ramada Inn by Iggy Pop. He looked like his current self, unfortunately,...

Wise move ... yeah, Iggy's thing has been too many weird places to let it get anywhere near you. A friend of mine kissed him in a bar ... didn't warn him, just kissed him. My only thought was the disgusting places his mouth has been! lol!
I once had a night full of reoccuring dreams that the devil was chasing me. He'd disguise himself as different people, but if you asked whether he was the devil he'd have to admit that he was. Towards the end of the last dream he disguised himself as Keith Richards. That way we couldn't understand a word he was saying, inclduing whether or not he was admitting that he was really the devil in disguise.
I had that dream a couple of years ago, and my shrink still talks about it ...

That is a GREAT dream. I've been on that hip hop kick myself. I got cured by my new satellite radio. I'm off to my Tantra workshop tonight.
I think a young hootchie hip hop girl has taken up residence in my body. I'm not myself lately, that's for sure. I've been listening to Nelly, Chingy and Snoop (HIGHLY out of character for me) and dancing around the house like some slutty club girl. What gives??
sqook:
that's some scary stuff, yo.
More snow and all I keep thinking about is vacation...somewhere warm. Maybe New Orleans. Anyone ever been there? Any recommendations? I think I'm going to shoot for something in May. A girl has to have something to look forward to.

What happened to Aries?? I get online tonight and I'm like, wait a sec, Missy isn't one of my favs. So I thought it was a glitch but Aries is no where to be found. She must have really pissed someone off huh? Who's got the dish??
I guess Echo will have to be her replacement for now.

check your e-mail--i finally got around to replying.
I was incapable of functioning today. I woke up late, took my shower and then crawled back into bed until 15min before I had to be to work (good thing I set my own hours, huh?). I did finally get there 40 min late, but was pretty useless the rest of the day. I volunteered to help with inventory and then left work early. Bad...

last night was great - that place has the ping-pong table & ralph gave my group a bottle of champagne for the after party - what a guy!

Yeah, a lot of people (myself included) liked the old "sqook". Actually, Mya and Synnove refuse to call me "faded" now, which is kind of weird. =) Alas, I'm not going back.
Oh, and I love doing that at work, too.... come in late, push out early... that's the life. =)

So the Pack managed to lose to the Eagles. It turned out to be a typical Packer game. They have a great start, even out in the 2nd, let the other team catch up in the 3rd, and then make it interesting in the 4th. Oh well, I'm dissappointed but as far as I'm concerned the fact that they were there at all was enough;...

Yeah...the Packers are my favorite team. Butttt...Donovan nailed them when he ran it a few times. Eagles deserved to win it...Pack's defense wasn't doing too good.

It was an exciting game -- that's all you can ask. If they had been blown out you wouldn't be as proud of them. At least they lost to a team with fans that aren't afraid of cold weather.
So are you surprised in the tiniest bit that Bush had been planning to overthrow Saddam from day 1 and just used 9-11 as an excuse? I watched the Paul O'Neil thing on 60 Minutes. The other thing that seems apparent is that Chaney is calling all of the shots. GW is a figurehead -- no surprise there either. The only real surpise is that O'Neil genuinely likes Bush & Chaney (still), and during the interview was in disbelief that they would try to attack or discredit him for "just telling the truth."
Yeah -- like this administration is big on the truth!
My city is trying to enact an ordinance to ban picket signs and banners unless they are made of paper ... essentially they are trying to get rid of the anti-war protestors who gather at the pier every week. I'm trying to prepare a zippy little tirade for city council on the subject. They have a session tonight that opens with public comments.
