Well, I hope you learned your lesson little missy. biggrin

Bar hopping was cool, my bud hit on a bartender and got shot down... but we still got good drinks out of it.

And yes, I was talking about a hockey team... how could you tell? smile

Actually, two of the three aspics are vegetarian. One is a yellow pepper aspic and the other is an aspic made to taste like a bloody mary. The third is a shrimp aspic. Most gelatin these days is derived from seaweed (agar-agar, if I'm not mistaken), not from boiling hooves. Other than helping prepare some of those, though, I had a decidedly non-vegetarian day. Cooked off 40 live lobsters and cut up 5 sides of salmon. I don't have a problem with the killing part, but lobsters look too insect-like for my taste and generally creep me out. I kept thinking I saw them moving even after I'd boiled them for 7 minutes. Nightmares to come, I'm certain.

woo hoo! you know spring is right around the corner when you start seeing those pink and yellow Peeps hitting the shelves. i am a HUGE Peeps fan, but i'm also a Peep purist. Fuck the other holidays...a true Peep can only be enjoyed this time of year. a friend brought me my first Peeps of the season just yesterday, so i promptly ripped open...

from your thread if you had not gotten a real response yet: "A Trigasm is the result of arousing the 3 points of pleasure, the clitoris, G-spot and anus simultaneously. "

Just got back from the movies. I went to see the Triplets of Bellville. It's french animation. Very cool. The movie itself is a bit long and there is next to no dialog -- I guess you'd say it's more of an "art" flick. But I enjoyed it. I'm into that kind of stuff. The other cool thing is that before the movie started there...

Saint Paul is much the same; way too much snow in a short amount of time. At least the landlord finally plowed my parking space. Haven't been to eau claire since I was a kid. It's on my list of places to stop by sometime on my way driving to Green Bay. That and Wittenberg; home of Neuske's.

I am finally home and happy to have the funeral over with. I also some how picked up a nasty cold too while I was visiting my family to top off a wonderful week. I think tonight I'll be cuddling up to a beer (or two or three) and watching movies on the couch. Seems to be how my weekends are ending up these days.

I hear beer can cure colds, and even it it doesn't who cares. ARRR!!!

Pyrate makes an excellent point. You just can't argue with facts like that.

I hope the funeral helped you feel better. Being surrounded by other people who also feel what you're feeling really helps. That time to just cry, feel sad, acknowledge the love you feel, and feel the love from the people who are there with you ... it's all really beautiful when you think about it. And then there's the party afterwards ... I like those better than wedding receptions!

I almost went to see Triplets of Belleville last weekend, and now I wish I had. It's gone. frown Instead I went to see The Butterfly Effect so I could do a movie review for the hometown paper. That's one of the fun things I get to do out here. smile

ick...more snow and more shoveling for me. you know, i wouldn't mind so much if i didn't live in the city, but i'm starting to run out of places to throw the stuff and can barely get in my garage because they seem to have stopped plowing the alleys.

i will probably be spending another day with my parents and venturing home tomorrow morning. i'm...

The funeral is over. It was good to see my family but extremely difficult. My mom is really broken up for obvious reasons. She woke me up this morning, standing by my bed in tears with her hand stretched out. I took the box in her hand and it was my grandfather's mother's wedding ring. She said "he always asked me when he would see...

Well, I hope you take Friday off. If I was there, I'd take you someplace kinda quiet, buy you a beer, and another, and another.

Try to spend tomorrow with people who love you and will treat you like the Goddess that you are.

I wish you would
come pick me up
take me out
fuck me up
steal my records
screw all my friends
they're all full of shit
with a smile on your face
then do it again
I wish you would...
I wish you'd make up my bed
so I could make up my mind
try it for sleeping instead
maybe you'd rest sometime
I wish...

sorry to hear about your grandpa. All grandparents love to see their grandchildren do well for them selves. All you got to is keep on keeping on, and if there is an after life I'm sure he smiles.
On a lighter note, inresponce to your question. I do, do stained glass I kind of just started, but I'm doing well. I've allways dabbled alittle in the arts. Now I'm working on some thisels, blue bells, and berries. take care, later

I adore Calexico...Feast of Wire. It'll get me through the day nicely.

It's like a heat wave here. I'm sitting in my office overlooking Lake Michigan with my window open. I think it's a combination of slightly warmer temps and the fact that my heat is cranked up to the max and I'm wearing a wool sweater. It's nice to enjoy the fresh air either...

No, saturday won't be our first show, but it's pretty close. Should be interesting.

Sucks about the funeral... stuff like that is always hard. It also seems like western cultures tend to have far darker funeral traditions than their eastern counterparts.

You're right, though; living in the present is the truly hard thing to achieve in this lifetime. Hope tomorrow goes well for you.

i never knew one of my grandfathers...he died years before i was born. the second died when he was in his late 70s and i was in my early 20s. he was sick and hospitalized for a couple weeks and i never went and visited. complete denial that grandpa could possiby be leaving. i still wasn't accepting days later at the funeral.

sometime later i hit a rough spot in my own life, and turned to memories of grandpa. i realized then how much he had taught me, and the values he gave me. it was then that i missed him the most.

when people at the services sob, or when you do, remind them or yourself of the contributions he made to you and the family. say them out loud.

those things--the values and memories and things taught--live forever. it's not an abstract concept like grandpa in heaven--grandpa lives on in you and all he touched.

best to you...

I spent most of the day goofing around with my digital camera and ended up shooting some pretty cool photos of myself. So, I'm doing a crazy thing and sending 'em in for Missy to have a look-see. Dispite what happens, I had a blast acting silly for the camera and I like how the pictures turned out. If anything, I can look at the...
