I think the RIAA catches folks using KaZaA by setting up "dummy" hosts and tracking the IPs origin. ISPs seem mor than happy to provided info on who had that IP at the time if only since it keeps the heat off of them. And since most of them continue to host binaries groups on their news servers, I doubt they actually care as much as they say they do, as long as it's not a legal hassle for them.
squire:
Yeah. I checked the Onion. No show at the Cactus tonight. Now we don't have to feel guilty for being old and lazy.
i'm cold again. this happens because not only am i a heat miser but i have extremely low blood pressure. god, quit your bitching girl.
i bought the new Distiller's album Coral Fang. i have to admit there aren't a lot of grrl rockers who do it for me. there are only a handful that i think can even remotely keep up with the boys....

I was just teasin'.
i just got home. i decided to go out and see a band that a couple of my friends are in...Crime and Judy. it's not quite my thing -- a little dissonant (sp?) which isn't always bad but in this case, well, let's just say i'm having a hard time of it and it's been over a year. i ended up leaving half way through...

It been a long time since I went to a show and wanted to stay through the whole thing. I start moving towards the door long before the encore. I really, really want to see the abnds but after about an hour of being jostled by sweaty teenagers, I'm ready to go home.
All ages shows piss me off. Lots.

it's raining outside which only makes it feel 10 times colder inside. i'm sitting here like some kind of granny with my chenille blanket over my legs and my wool cardigan buttoned all the way to my neck. all i want to do is put on a swanky little sundress and sit by the pool with a beer -- i'll have to wait to go...

Oooh!!! Mint Julips and a Derby party sounds brilliant! I just have Dolemite and Star Trek Parties. Yeah, I'm geeky that way...but its what makes me so endearing.
As for Mead, I made a great batch of a Raspberry Honey Wine this year for X-mas gifts. It went over REALLY well. Aged about 6 months in a bottle mellowed the taste. I cant WAIT to see what it's like in a year...that is, if I can hold from drinking it all before then.
I still think my beer stands above the crowd. Im hoping to create a nice barley wine-ale this year, or perhaps an Apricot Ale. My fruit flavored beers really go over well with the ladies. My ex-girlfriend also used to love my hard apple cider. Great stuff to drink, and a fun hobby to boot.

Congrats on the DSL! I've had it for years and love it.
A bluegrass version of "Gin and Juice" sounds cool. Some friends of mine in NC did a bluegrass cover of "Wish You Were Here"; I like it when covers take a complete departure from the original. The Gordon lightfoot covers are good, mind you, but it's not much of a stretch to make them bluegrass songs.

i'm beginning to understand why the vow of the bohdisattva (sp?) is such a difficult one. that's a vow i am not even close to being capable of taking. i'm surrounded by ignorance and i've reached the conclusion that it is hopeless to try and help these people see the truth. there's just no point in trying. the only thing that happens is i end...

Well, as long as you work for Satan... maybe you could answer a question. Does he offer a good health plan?
Hey, it's always good to splurge on yourself from time to time. Going to malls to do it is the price you must pay sometimes. Think of it this way, sure it was hell to go but you came back with cool stuff. Think of it as a quest... THE QUEST FOR SHOES.

oh for christsake...i need to stop reading about 90% of the posts in the Hopefuls group. i'm getting so fucking irritated with some of the members/SG's in there. i swear some of these people have never heard of the Golden Rule. it's really getting tedious. you know, i agree the group is meant as a place to get feedback but there is a difference between...

awesome... Glad the show kicked your butt. I've got that coming up with The Sounds, and then Rollins, and then TV on the Radio. I cannot wait.
It’s almost March and almost Spring (well, if you live anywhere other than where I live it’s almost Spring). I’ll be lucky if Spring makes it here by June – I’m not even kidding either. Ah, the season of re-birth and new beginnings and I am as usual feeling very restless. I’m yearning for some kind of change or some kind of sign, maybe. I...

Aww thanks!
You know, I get that restless feeling about once a year. I have since about 2000. *shrugs* It gets rather irksome, though, especially when I'm tied down with crap and can't get away!
Anyway... hope you have (had?) a good time at the concert!
