rain... it's going to be one of those curl-up-on-the-couch-and-watch-a-movie nights. seems our spiffy summerish weather has left and we're back to 40s.

all this rain is going to bring the worms out. did i tell you i have a worm-phobia? i do. ever since that little bastard threw that handful of earthworms in my hair when i was a kid. plus, it's the fact they...

argh.....summer is almost here. it's that time again...to burn my flesh in the sun lifeguarding all day. Boys were the meanest in grade school. They are still mean, just not so blatantly.

Here's to rain... (clink).
I'm all for the bikini, especially knowing you'll be sure to post the pic for us (crossing fingers) blush

i cannot believe i spent the majority of the day watching some PBR (Professional Bull Riders) event and NASCAR. i mean, i didn't really have a choice as far as what was selected for television viewing, but still... i actually sat there and watched it and was mildy fascinated. have you watched any of this bull riding stuff??? i of course cheer for the bull...

fun times at your parents' huh? smile

Love the new profile picture! kiss kiss kiss

I slept in my car a little while saturday night/morning and woke myself up at 3 a.m. ish drooling on myself. gross huh robot robot robot
squire:
I can watch a little bull riding. But car racing . . . I have a friend (from Elkhart Lake no less) who is a race car driver and he tells me that its not so much skill as it is how much money you have backing you. And this from a guy who has won the "June Sprints." Whatever the hell that is. And it just bores me.

But I do/watch stuff all the time just to happy-up the rents. A noble purpose. My mom just freaks out whenever I agree to go to church with her. But thats not much of a sacrifice considering I NEVER go home. Usually xmas, so church comes up.

No sass to pass. Pretty dull weekend. But dull was good. EL SUICIDO LOCO

new profile AGAIN... i'm so wishy-washy.. all red-eyed and sleepy after the Distiller's show. i'm a little disappointed. they're a great band and they had to play at the Rave which has totally fucked sound so they weren't well represented. add to that the fact that it was an all ages show and 50% of the time i was trying to keep my teeth from...

Loved The Distillers. Way cool show. Who opened for them this round?
clarkekid:
Well, the weekend turned out only so-so. You can read about it in my journal.

Sorry to hear the Distiller's show was only ok. I can't fault the moshing teenagers too much... I used to be one of them. But small venues have always been my favorite to see bands. I don't like being packed in large crowds. eeek

But, female leads that fuck their guitars and have their breasts almost pop out... yeah, there needs to be more of those. Especially more of the ones where they DO pop out. biggrin

Wouldn't it be funny if there was like SG Anonymous? There probably are real groups like that for internet addicts. The only problem would be that you would have to be "sober" and you wouldn't be allowed to go on SG. frown

Have fun at the show tonight! I think that I'm designating tomorrow and Sunday as skirt days. Really I'm just looking for an excuse to wear my ultra-cute new shoes. I finally have a pair of shoes that looks good with all of my shorter skirts! (Well, other than my kickass boots, that is. wink)

And before you ask, with any luck, I won't be too lazy to take pictures and post 'em. wink

went to see the Sleepy Jackson last night. excellent show and as with most great bands the disc doesn't do them justice. also, for some crazy reason i thought there were girls in the band... instead four kooky new zealanders with a solid range. go see them. i order you!

i stayed up way too late and then proceded to toss and turn all night...

You know, the Daisy Duke imagery's quite enough, but since you mentioned the all girl bit... I'll work that in, somehow, too. (throb throb throb) wink

The Sleepy Jackson: "four kooky new zealanders"??

Since when was Perth in New Zealand??

Mind you, we Aussies have claimed so many talented NZers as our own, it might be time for a little payback wink

why do i let stupid things like people writing "I heart (fill in the blank)" annoy me so much?

it's fucking freezing here. it's april and i have to set my heat at 72 degrees to stay warm? this is ridiculous.

i've held out as long as possible and will be sending a nice chunk of change to the fed on thursday. i don't think...

my days of debauchery are catching up with me. i fell asleep on the couch last night at 8, but it wasn't all bad. i dreamed of the lovely Twwly and a certain boy to remain unnamed -- and myself as the filling. yum yum

tomorrow is the sleepy jackson show. friday is the distillers. it may be another restorative evening tonight... i need to...

i went to see BRMC last night at the rave. now i have to admit something... i liked what i had heard from them and i knew they were good musicians but i didn't love love it, yknow? plus, it seems i'm surrounded by people who write them off as jesus mary chain wannabes and don't give them much credit creatively. however, dispite being told...

My dog is 15 years old. The vets are still suprised that she's still around. It's like she's at that stage where she could go any day now for any reason. I just wish my mom would wait for natural causes instead of just saying... "ok, your time's up."

i just got back from the Legendary Shack Shakers show and all i can say is ... if the devil has let the demons out of hell and they are a band they are the Shack Shakers. i haven't seen a front man this serial killer scary since Lux and the Cramps at the Modeska. i felt like someone had let a rabid dog out...

nope, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I didn't have to travel back to the mother state to see the 'rents. They only live about 1/2 hour away from me.

And of course I'd wave if I ever came through. Or stop buy and have a drink even. tongue
