went to see the Sleepy Jackson last night. excellent show and as with most great bands the disc doesn't do them justice. also, for some crazy reason i thought there were girls in the band... instead four kooky new zealanders with a solid range. go see them. i order you!
i stayed up way too late and then proceded to toss and turn all night long. i hate that... when you feel completely exhausted but cannot fall asleep. my mind was racing...
saturday i am heading north for a short weekend of beer and r&r by ma and pa's new fireplace. and now a few things you may not have guessed about me: i'm the farmer's daughter. yes, folks, i grew up on a dairy farm in northern wisconsin. i milked cows, rode horses, did 4-H and pretty much spent my summers dressed like Daisy Duke. i was captain of my high school pom pom squad, got straight A's and was a good little girl. i think college at an all girl catholic school is what did me in (i'm not even fucking catholic) -- and believe me, all the thoughts you may be entertaining of all girl dorm orgies... didn't happen, unfortunately. sorry to burst your bubble. hmmm...where did it all go awry???
