downloading some music and i have to wonder. all those people who get caught ... how exactly does that happen?? i don't want to be one of those chicks on a pepsi commercial someday.
i just did my taxes and guess what... i don't know when i am going to learn my lesson. once again i owe a boat load of money. three years in a row now. i need to start claiming zero on my W-2. i just hate letting the fed hold my money interest free for an entire year! however, shelling out a grand after the holidays aint no party either. oh, well... i'm not going to worry about it. the lord will provide, right? too bad i'm not a christian. kind of throws the monkey wrench into that doesn't it?
i'm a huge loser because i am getting old and soon to be getting older and i can't drag my fanny out to see rock shows anymore. last night the Walkmen were in town and i really really meant to go but instead ended up having a beer, getting cozy and falling asleep by 9. now tonight is the same thing. Rex Hobart and the Misery Boys are at the Cactus Club; i am definitely in the mood for some Bloodshot style honkey-tonk, but who knows -- again, it's a "school night" Tomorrow i'll be writing about how old and pathetic i am once again. must go must go must go

I think the RIAA catches folks using KaZaA by setting up "dummy" hosts and tracking the IPs origin. ISPs seem mor than happy to provided info on who had that IP at the time if only since it keeps the heat off of them. And since most of them continue to host binaries groups on their news servers, I doubt they actually care as much as they say they do, as long as it's not a legal hassle for them.
