Thought I'd take a little time to write before class tonight. I had a blast yesterday evening with my friend, having beers and talking shit. We went to this new (well, new to me, anyway) bar called Kennedie's -- i think i spelled that right. Very cool decor, all very retro in a swingin' bachelor pad kind of way. It looks a lot like one of the party-scapes from a SHAG illustration. They have a good selection of beers on tap and an excellent menu. So what did i have? The mac 'n cheese, of course, and a Wittekirche (i'm such a beer snob). I tried to get my friend to stay there as long as possible because i had my sights set on the bartender, but she was having none of it. Boo. So, she takes me across the street to Eve. Nice place to visit but i wouldn't want to live there. Great for one of those romantic date scenarios but not for hardcore drinking -- there's no tap beer for christsake! Needless to say i won't be back there anytime soon. But it really is beautiful...think industial/organic/metal and glass trees for tables, lots of white, very ethereal. Saturday i'm probably going to find myself at the madplanet to see crime and judy. I'm not a huge fan, but when friends are in a band you support them.
