I think I set the record for fastest x-mas shopping yesterday. Granted, not having that many people to buy for helps, but it only took me about two hours! All anyone wanted was gift certificates. Which brings up the question...what really is the point of all this madness. If everyone is just exchanging gift certificates shouldn't we all just keep our money and call it a day? I managed to talk my brothers into skipping gifts this year and just getting something really nice for ma & pa, so that worked. But that still left five people...who all wanted gift certificates. Next year I'm boycotting this whole gift giving thing. It's sheer misery to buy the gifts and then half the time you end up getting crap in return anyway. Besides, there just isn't a whole hell of a lot I really NEED (need being the operative word there). And is it really worth being stressed out waiting for the credit card bill in January with taxes hanging over your head in addition? That's it...next year bah humbug.
