Oh! I forgot to mention this cool site I found! For the past couple of years our family has had a "Make Do Christmas" (my gramma's idea). You either make or do something for people as opposed to buying, and then you donate money to whatever your cause of choice is. So I've done candles and soaps before but this year I'm going to embroider! I learned how to embroider when I was a kid because my mom made me visit with this older woman once a week and she taught me how to do it, and this weekend I found this completely kick-ass website with the best embroidery patterns evvvveerrrrr! I'm going to make little baby T-shirts for my new niece/nephew, and then some other random goodies for everyone else and doing a lot of cool shee-it for my fam, too. And this site has really cool retro fabrics and some great patterns for bags and other goodies so I'm gettin me some from here
which is great because next payday I get a lil extra holiday pay for Memorial Day and I'm buying a sewing machine to replace the one that got killed during our move. (shopping is so good for stress but not logical for my situation, I know!)
