My friend is dying
He's 31 years old and he collapsed at work. It was a stroke brought on by brain tumors that were a result of cancer that started in his kidneys and it could have been treated had it been caught earlier. He's been in a coma for 6 weeks and the family made the decision to pull him from life support last week
I remember:
*driving in his old truck listening to 311
*how big he was... about 6'5 and 280 pounds
*shmokin weed together
*when he would put on a small labcoat at work and sing the "fat guy in a little coat" song from Tommy Boy
*endless hours discussing what a prick he was to his girlfriends
*that he always smelled so good
*he had the most sarcastic sense of humor
*his stories about his childhood
*more than anything he wanted to be a director and he had so many good ideas
*he choked up in the movies when the "dolby" intro came on
*he was incredibly self-conscious about his cock being too small... and it was but I always told him it was just perfect for giving head... and it was.
*his little dog that had the same name as me... he had the dog for years and it went everywhere with him
*he was so strong emotionally and physically, so reassuring when I was scared. He carried me through so much...
We were friends for 11 years and met each other at work. He was fired and thought I had much more to do with it than I did and I tried to give him space to come to terms with it, and I thought I had more time to see him again and explain.
The last time we saw each other I saw him and his girlfriend in Target. He wouldn't even make eye contact with me...
I feel empty
