It doesnt seem to have been as bad as possible, but its still pretty damn bad. Right now they are talking about not letting anyone back into the city before Friday. This helps to add to the current uncertainty over what is going to happen next with us. There still isnt a good report as to the extent of the damage the bases have taken. From some of the stories it sounds like the lake spilled over and a levee broke on the East bank near the base there. If this is accurate then there will be about 10 feet of water or more standing there. I have yet to hear anything at all about the West bank where our barracks are located. It may end up that we have to go to Kansas City for a while if the barracks/work have taken too much damage.



Add to this our current communication problems due to phones being down at hotels and cell towers getting knocked out and we are left with your standard cluster fuck.
