I just took a break from drawing and writing papers to watch a documentary on Gilligan's Island.
Did you know that when the show aired in the 60s, the US Government received HUNDREDS of telegrams complaining that it was a disgrace to allow US citizens to rot away, stranded on an island...and that Navy ships should be sent to get them!
Mind you that the show even had a LAUGH TRACK and commercial break!
The fact that citizens of this caliber are allowed to vote is why democracy may be doomed...

heh. funny you mention gilligans island today because i was out on a boat earlier this morning in the bay and we passed coconut island...its very small and is now some marine wildlife reserve.....anyways, i always knew the show was filmed in cali somewhere but i found out today that coconut island was the actual island filmed in the opening credits, so technically, i went to gilligans island today.......the three hour tour.
