Well its been a hell of a long time since Ive posted. A lot of things are changing for the better I got a new job over the one I just started in august. I moved back to my home town where I actually have local computer stores. In August until the end of this week I am a computer Nerd... basically a plumber for your computer, come out to your house fix your stuff and be gone. The job was great at first but quickly turned sour as it was apparent the guys out fixing computers (Nerdz) were the only ones that new jack about computers, our manager was an ex restaurant manager so he hadnt a clue, just sat around getting fat off the local Krispy Kremes and Carabas right near by. Plus you had to drive your own car to clients houses with a gas reinbursement program that was a friggin joke... 2 bucks per call
Within a two day period I had two of the worse calls out of anyone... the first was just my allergies from the crazy cat ladies computer. The second was something I wouldnt have thought I would encountered. I pull up to a decent looking house to find a very angry dog barking from the fence. I get to the door a very sloppy looking man lets me in then it hits me, a combination of dog urine sour milk and BO filled my nostrils. This guy says his computer wont turn on. I grab the PSU from my car and return to the dank dungeon... there is literally a carpet of dog hair on the ground this mixed with the smell begins to make me weeze and pretty nauseous. I pop out the old PSU and install the new one in record time.. then I boot the computer up as Im waiting the first thing that pops up is nude asian women, now provided nude women does not bother me... in fact its usually a welcome site what did was the fact that I realized I was in the whack off station. I get a bit more queasy at the thought and move some files for the guy... files marked xxxx further supporting that this guy tossed off in the very chair I was sitting in anyways I got to total his order and while iM typing I feel a distinct film all over the keyboard... on the mouse to which I was trying to ignore. It took every ounce of will power not to vomit. I totalled the order speed walked out after I got the payment sped to the gas station and ralphed every where
. Thats when i decided this wasnt the job for me.
That little episode combined with other ones like what Id like to refer to as the porno granny really made me hate work for a while. One of my friends who has worked for his company for more than a decade offered me a job in the IT department I start next week and am very excited. I joined a gym and got into golf now Im a bit more active thanmy old sit around WoWing for abnormal amounts of time. I met a girl through my friends gf and she is great we have so much in common unfortunately she lives in Ohio... but things are moving along as we get to lknow each other. This past weekend we hung out in chicago together and had a lot of fun Ill have to post some pics on here.
The only thing left that I really want to do is get my own place away from my parents living with them makes me miss some of the freedom I enjoyed in the years past.
Oh and as for my ex.. she still calls... most of the time I dont answer as it seems its just a test of whether or not I will answer followed by a what are you doing? and a ok well I have to go do this... its pretty sad that two years of relationship of being able to tell each other anything has rotted to just about nothing.
