So, I don't know what to say or where to start... Hrm.

Only 6 more days 'til Rob gets here! I'm very excited to see him, of course. I don't really know what we're going to do, since I'm strapped for cash and I don't want to run out of his money right away. Of course, he's going to have to get me a build-a-bear because I get one for every time we see one another 'til we live together. Right now I have three from him, he has one from me but he doesn't want anymore. His is the one that's worn out, he cuddles it and crap 'cause he's a friggin' pansy... Like, when he misses me he cuddles it and it looked like a 10 year old toy when I saw it a year later. I guess that's sweet, but I'm still going to laugh about it.

Last night my friend was upset, so I got special permission to take her to pre-screen Eragon, which I was just going to wait to see, otherwise. It was alright, I leaned over to my friend at one point and asked if I was the only one who thought the old guy was the hottest guy in the movie, she assured me I wasn't the only one... then shattered my dreams by pointing out that that probably made us officially old.

I was really mad that they killed off the hot guy, too. We joked about walking out, but it was decent enough.

Normally I don't check out guys during movies, but--and no offense to anybody who absolutely adores Eragon-- I don't think it's really as amazing as everybody gives it credit for being. It felt rather cliche, it had the corniest jokes, they would say things that sounded like the author had just pulled them from video games and TV shows and whatnot. My friend said she couldn't read the book, it was like it was written by a 14 year old... but she had read enough to inform me they cut out a lot of events in the first part and that they had cleaned up the story and the wording a bit for the movie so it was more bearable... I should probably read the book to have my own opinion, but unlike other movies this one didn't inspire me to go out and read the book.

We just joked the whole time, usually when we see a movie we'll make cracks about the obvious sexual tension between characters by going "I want to pork you" and "let's pork" so we made pork comments all throughout the movie. We also made comments about who characters reminded us of... one of the guys was an "emo kid" and the main hoardes of henchmen to the bad guys were "uruk-hai" and then we started whispering "What's in your wallet?!"

I don't really know how the author created the names and words he did, but my friend informed me with fantasy novels the characters get named after sounds the authors make while on the toilet. I could see it for this movie. Maybe I'm a spoiled, elitist, Tolkien lover... I love Tolkien's style, I love his creativity, I love everything about his work, and I admire that he could actually create his own languages... and some of them were pretty, some were ugly, because they weren't just random sounds he came up with.



Uhm, I forget what else I'm going to say... my head hurts for some reason, I woke up feeling pretty sick this morning. I couldn't get to sleep last night, but that's not unusual...Rob's voice always helps me to sleep, and puts me to sleep. If I get up and do something right after we get off the phone I can't fall asleep for awhile... if we're on the phone I sometimes fall asleep on him if I've been working a lot and am wiped out... or if we hang up I usually fall asleep in ten minutes. I need to clean, but I don't feel well, ugh. I'm so close to being finished cleaning and all that, I'm excited. I get my haircut Tuesday, I see Vinta Sunday for our cleaning gig and then we hang out Monday. I have plenty of work between now and Thursday, which excites me because time will pass faster. I already dyed my hair so it'll have time to fade out a bit before Rob sees it...I hope it doesn't fade too much more for a few days, it looks great right now. It looks black when I first dye it, but I prefer it when it's just a dark brown like on the box. Painting my nails now so they don't break before he gets here. Oh, the things women do for men.
