So today at work was odd.
We did over 250 in our first set, which is shocking because we usually do maybe 25, if we're lucky, during the school day. Tonight we were expecting it to pick up, of course... but all these people came to watch The Nativity.
Then I had these customers that were making blatantly obvious inappropriate jokes to one another, and once I even had to laugh at them which made them crack up.
And I had this one guy buy a large drink from me, and as I was fixing it he goes "I got divorced today." This guy had to have been about my age, give or take a few years. I have a tendency to smile and sometimes laugh when I'm nervous and confused, so when he was telling me that I didn't know what he was telling me for, so I kinda laughed because I thought it had to be a joke. I never could figure out. Then he goes "You're laughing at my pain." I told him my managers tell us we have to smile constantly and that was it, and he told me he wished he could still smile. He didn't seem very upset in reality, though, so I think it was a joke. When he walked off he was mumbling and the only thing I thought I made out was "Give me a call if you're single." But I don't think that makes sense since I don't know the guy's number.
If that was what he said I would've probably called him and tried to be his friend 'cause it kinda amused me (I assume if that's what he said he was joking with me).
Drat.

I wonder if it was some sort of weird pickup line.
