Digable Planets played here in Austin the other night, much to my not knowing. How could I miss Butterfly and her blow out comb? I am bummed. I guess I am just not cool like that, cool like that, cool like that, cool like that, cool like that, we're out

it does suck when you miss bands you would really like to see.
you are not old, you have just gotten wiser and have realized that it just doesn't do any good. I do like face book, in the past month or so I have had a fuck ton of people from high school add me, most of them I don't even care to much about talking to, but I don't think they are as much of religious republicans as your friends.
so what made you change your name?

There is no one I want to talk to from my old town, believe me it was even worse than yours. You are not old, you have just realized that no one with that mentality will listen to you anyway.
I had a really shitty day. Then my friend I work with, who goes by "Catfish", gave me his Absolute Hits of Billy Squier cd to burn and enjoy. So I put it in my iPod and danced around in my flannel pants to "The Stroke", "In the Dark", and "My Kinda Lover". Oh, and "Everybody Wants You". So. Fucking. Bad. Yet oh so good....

did you tune in after i'd added the third bit? that's what i really want to hear your take on.
and you know, regarding an earlier one, "Babylon Sisters" is about right. if i heard "Razor Boy" in the supermarket i'd be more afraid.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but the shit with my mom just keeps going. Please refer to my last blog if you are in the dark about my mother's insanity.
She has now decided to not come down here to my (super cool, super liberal) aunt's house for Thanksgiving, saying she would rather spend the holiday with some of her friends who "believe...

I still hunger to hear again their badass beautiful cover of Fleetwood Mac's Dreams again. I had it on disc years ago but broke it from playing it so much. It was so amazing.
This is the charming email I got from my Republicunt mother tonight after Obama was elected: I added some of my own remarks in parentheses.
Good Evening,
Just talked to Robert (one of my best friends in my hometown), he was talking about you voting for Obama. I told him I doubted if you really voted, but was sure you would have voted for Obama...

Awww! That is totally sweet and amazing too. I had also reunited with my former best friend from high school that I'd somehoe drifted from for 10 years, thanks to myspace. We got back together like no time had ever passed. Is your friend at least local?
I told this girl I want to have coffee with her at least when I get back to NY.

Great response, its been kinda sad this week seeing the way some people who I thougt a lot of acting so stupid about what will happen to the country now. I love this country and Texas but we sure are surrounded by way to many rednecks and bigoted people.
I would just like to say that if you sit at the bar in the rather nice restaurant I work at and yell and scream at the top of your lungs because a fucking football game is on the tv, you are a douche. And I hate you. Go away. Now. Fuck off and shut up.
However, displaying the same behavior because of an NBA...

I have decided to treat myself to lunch every Monday. Or should I say breakfast food in the afternoon. Last week I took a magazine and had an omelet at the IHOP. I also had about 6 cups of coffee, and I never drink coffee, so needless to say I was jacked up. So jacked up in fact, I could not stop myself from stealing...

The following is a message from Mr. Virgin's Personal Messaging service...
A few days ago my boyfriend and I went to lunch. In the booth behind us was a young couple. The guy looked like the average disheveled young dude, but the girl was a piece of work. I think I counted 6 piercings in her lips alone. Everything on her face clanked as she chewed. I just don't get it. Of course she had the...

I'm glad I could make you think, there is nothing better in life then to make people think about the world around them, I know you're an open minded person, I know when you give people with an open mind a good argument they will at least think about what you have to say. Some times the world around us push there view on us so much that we start to think they are right, the open minded people just need a kick in the pants some times to get our head back on Straight . Most of my life people thought I was a hippie and smoked a lot of pot because I had long hair, when in fact I was more of a punk kid, you will more likely find me listening to Dag Nasty, or some alternative country then "hippie music" and I have never smoked pot. We are all so different, We can't be put into a box and no cover can show you the true complexity of the pages that are within. I did see what you were trying to say and I'm glad you think of me as a good friend, I always try to be a good friend.
When I was very young, about 7 or 8, I went to some lame day camp that I think my mom just shuttled me off to as a way to get me out of her hair. I had to ride a school bus home, and there were several. The mere thought of riding in a school bus made me cringe, I was a car kid....

Your entries are always cute and well written. I like your little story that you started with.
I wish I could hold a waitress job for that long!! You're a rarebird...at least in NY turnovers were just_so_damn_high. It was scary.
It's so scary to think that without a pet, you'd have so much more freedom.
That's my 2 cents.

Saturday afternoon, I took my doggie on a walk like always, in the same field and woods that we always go to. He did his business and was happy, and we went home. When I got to my stairs, I noticed a little fuzzy thing on the edge of my sleeve, thought nothing of it, brushed it off and went inside. About two minutes later,...
