In response to all of the drama that has been perpetrated on SG by persons who shall remain nameless (and still can't seem to stop themselves) - LILLI has done what she always does - she's interjected some common sense and wise guidance.

Good people will see injustice and step up to try to mitigate the damage, mentor us, and remind us that good behavior is ultimately more rewarding not just for us, but the community that surrounds us. Just like the ripple from a stone in a pond - everything that we do or say has an effect on the entire pond.

Some of us will never learn and just keep wallowing in negativity - performing assasinations of other people's characters under anonymity. They hide in the shadows and spew their venom behind closed doors. Making sure that the poison that they spew is presented in a forum that is blocked from the view of those they assasinate - so there will be no fear of reprisal. Why? Because apparently that is the only way they can cover up their own sins. It's like the child who has just broken the vase and then points to the other child that was harmlessly playing by themselves and say "they did it".

The Accuser just keep defining others by their own behavior and can't comprehend why people believe the Falsely Accused instead of them. They don't understand that people see the patterns in their behavior - and that being caught in several deliberate lies would make ALL of their accusations lack credibility. Or, maybe they just believe that if they tell a lie often enough - that it will "poof' become a truth.

But I digress....

In her post today - Lilli spoke of "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz

Don Miguel gives four principles to practice in order to create love and happiness in your life. Adopting and committing to these agreements looks deceptively simple. Actually living and keeping these four agreements can be one of the hardest things you will ever do. It can also be one of the most life changing things you will ever do.

The Four Agreements are:

1. Be Impeccable with your Word: Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don't Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don't Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

I want to thank Lilli for sharing the four agreements with all of us. She's like the den mother who gathers her cubs together and says - this is the better path. Choose wisely.

I also want to thank Junnie who always keeps a level head - and remains fearsomely fair.

And finally Cassy - who sensed that something did not ring true and intrepidly sought out the truth.

I am truly rich in my friends.

Happy Hump day to everyone here....

junnie:

Awwww.... blush You're very welcome. I really posted them to remind myself. But it is very gratifying to see that people seemed to need to read them. It is a phenomenal book. Changed my life.

And a Happy Hump Day to you! May you have some glorious humpin'! biggrin
