I typically dont like religion either. I'm a very spiritual person but i draw from so many places i don't like putting myself in a box. I don't mind true christians who really follow Jesus's teaching of love and acceptance.

I know what you mean. Plus the Bible has been butchered so many times we aren't getting the whole clear picture. It was also written by men who own thoughts most likely had influence so if they personally didn't like something (ie homosexuality) they probably put it in as God's words.
