Okay, after listening to another one of my grandmothers horror stories about her past relationships (including the one with my grandfather that started us all) I sat alone and tried really hard to understand why she kept going back to him and others like him over and over in her youth. I couldn't come up with any logical reason for it. And my grandmother is better than a politician at dodging any questions I would ask her about why she kept going back. It also made me think back to my sister and her many bad choices with men. I just can't understand for the life of me why in the world do women choose to be with and/or stay in relationships with guys that unless the girl is just nuts, are clearly not the sort of person they should be with. So I thought I'd bring this to SG for some straight answers.

So what is it about these assholes, thugs and overall douche bags that women find so attractive? Is it the look? The way they act? The talk game? What would make a girl choose the user and the loser over the nice guy? Please be as detailed as possible with any responses. I really would like to make some sense about this before it completely melts my brain. I've posed this question to every woman I've ever known from family to coworkers to friends. And I've gotten answers that were as simple as them meeting some guy at a bar and just "hit it off". I really hope it isn't as simple as that for women to get duped into abusive, loveless relationships. So let me have it.
