So..what are you supposed to do on days like this when you don't have good relationships with your parents? I mean don't get me wrong, I love my mother. But she wasn't a good mother, truth be told. I was raised by my grandmother and as far as I'm concerned she was my mother and my father. If today was grandmothers day I'd be a lot more involved in the holiday. But today I feel like I gotta pretend that me and my mother are thick as thieves. And I've never had much of an imagination. And don't get me started on Fathers Day. I wouldn't give that dead beat alcoholic any recognition if you paid me to do it. These aren't my favorite holidays as you can see...
