Wake up!!!
Good morning fellow SG-aholics! I know everyones ready to get back on that week-long grind right? Right...lol. Ive just come off my first weekend that I didn't have to go to someones job since ever. And even though I didn't do jack squat (smh), I still felt like a normal person for once, and for that I am exceedingly grateful.
Just a few thoughts that have popped into my head upon waking up today. The first being my continued disgust of the NBA and in particular, the recent All-Star events, Was that not the most boring and tacky Slam Dunk contest you've ever seen??? I'm not trying to hate on anyone who participated (ok...maybe I am just a little) but come on. Blake Griffin dunking over a Kia? Get the fuck outta here man. When did this go from being a basketball event to being a car show? Everyones dunks were either old news or took so many tries to get it done that I didn't even care to see it anymore. This was the very first time that I still had the remote in my hands during a dunk show. I was that bored. And the All-Star game was a sad continuation of that boredom. Big props go out to the Black Mamba for putting it down and winning yet another well deserved MVP award. Lebron who??? That fool didn't even know what he was doing on the court half the time. Man gets around some serious talent and he folds up like an old piece of paper. Its going to be so funny when the Lakers win another championship and he ends up in journalist hell. Whew..I didn't realize I had that much to say about All-Star weekend. I must have really hated what I saw that much, lol.
OK now that I'm done criticizing athletes who have more talent in their big toes than I have in my entire body, I'll move on to things that I actually can do. Like going to this years DragonCon in Atlanta. Ive always wanted to go to one of these and present myself as a true nerd to the entire world. But whenever the event draws near I always find myself working on some crap job and unable to get off to go for even one day out of the 4 that the Con is in town. Thank you new job for changing my work schedule and inadvertently, my life. Ill finally be able to attend and indulge in my two greatest joys in life: being a big kid and being a big kid in a costume. I'm close to a mangasm just thinking about how much fun Ill have hanging out with other geeks and weirdos, Is anybody else gonna go this year? It would be great exposure for all you SG hopefuls trying to get that photo set pushed into circulation. Just wanna throw that out there for anyone reading this and giving that "I wouldn't be caught dead at one of those things" face at the computer screen, lol.
Well that about wraps it up for this edition of the Shema blog. But Ill be back with no webisodes as the week goes on. Or whenever I'm just bored out of my mind and need something to do asap, lol. Enjoy your Monday!
