"I think we're gonna need a bigger boat..."

my friend just informed me that recently they played "Jaws" at the brattle theater in cambridge.
it had me thinking about how much that opening scene freaked me out the first time i saw it..
the one with the skinny dipping chick getting eaten by the infamous shark.
Just last year i watched a documentary about the making of the film and they interviewed
this lovely lady (can't remember her name)
She was not an actress but a stunt woman, and she explained how they tugged her back and
forth to get that violent effect that she was in the sharks mouth.
i was fascinated by that scene (for someone who was not an actress, she pulled off a very
frightening and very realistic death scene)
first off how her face just registers utter confusion as to whats going on...
then pain, then panic, and finally just sheer terror when she realizes she is being chomped
on by a great white.

til this day, i never stray too deep into the ocean

Last night, D and I made an attempt to drive into cambridge to check out rxdxts film
"Who killed the electric car?"
but umm...
we got a little lost surreal
don't poke fun... Cambridge is a little confusing to drive around in if you are not used to it,
and we very rarely get in there.
so yeah, we missed a turn somewhere and ended up about fifteen or twenty minutes
away from where we were supposed to be.
We knew we would not make it in time, so we accepted defeat.
However, we were still happy to be out of brockton for the evening and decided not to pout
about our aborted mission.
So instead we went out for a lovely malaysian dinner, and then afterwards tried our first
bubble smoothie biggrin

it was not bad (we had coconut)
but an experience i don't feel the need to repeat anytime soon..
i found the black chewy tapioca balls overly distracting and time consuming
they somehow cheated me out of enjoying the actual smoothie.

so yeah, missed the film
but got to enjoy a sliver of cambridge for the night.

i may not be around tonight as it's possible i might have company coming over..
it hasn't been confirmed yet, so the plans are still up in the air.

so just humor me with this...

do you have a favorite death scene from a film?
one that impressed the hell out of you?

how about a few favorite screen villians?

gotta motor..

I will ask my platonic Hetero sexual life mate to come. Her name is Catherine, and we go out on Hetero-dates all the time! She would totally dig it. I'll keep you posted...

Yeah that's sort of what I did, tried on a bunch of clothes and bought nothing. I have a huge wardrobe actually but I hate most of it, or it doesn't fit, or the things I do like and that fit I wear every single day whatever
