Tonight i'm actually stepping out of the house to go see Ministry play in worcester..
to say i'm excited is a bit of an understatement.
I don't know why, but whenever i have a chance to see Ministry live...
i kind of regress back to being a teenager all over again.
and for those of you who don't know my hubby or read his journal..
Dorwayin unintentionally won an autographed Slayer Guitar
he was calling up the radio show to tell them a story, and instead won tickets to that show
and the autographed guitar.
Of course he has to work, so the tickets are going to somebody else, maybe even
my younger brother.
As for the guitar.. well, D doesn't pick it up til next week i think.
Now i'm not the biggest slayer fan, but i have to admit that i'm kind of curious to feast my
eyes on this instrument.
Don't get me wrong, i dont dislike the band, it's just that they are not one of my favorites.
however, when that guitar finally crosses the threshold of my apartment door..
i am thinking i just might pose naked with the thing
I'm not sure why... it just seems like the kind of thing one should do with an autographed Slayer guitar.
either that or pose with it doing the headbanger stance, and giving the sign of the horns.
anyway...
i'm still not adjusting as well as i'd hoped regarding the new version of SG
i find it a lot more frustrating trying to get to someones journal to make a comment at times.
so if i'm slow on responding to some of you... please forgive me..
I'm thinking that i might actually venture out again sunday night to take in another film
Anyone seen anything recently in theaters that they might want to recommend?
keep in mind that most really good films (indies) are not playing around my area, so it has to
be a film in major release.
Anyone ever see the movie "Out of the Blue"?
it came out in 1980..
Dennis Hopper directed and starred in it, i saw it many years ago and i found it very
bleak and somewhat disturbing.
I'm wondering if i saw it now, if it would have the same effect on me.
i also want to thank quietlythere for suggesting i might like the book "Florida Roadkill"
i had the chance to buy it Monday night, and i'm loving it!
so yeah, i'm actually reading two books right now...
when i'm not on here trying to read people journals that is
have a great weekend

The song 'Sober on the Quilt" was performed by the band Porno was in when I first met him, 8 years ago. The name of that band was Something Left After Misfortune (AKA S.L.A.M.), they were a serioulsy heavy metal band. Nothing soft or pretty, Porno is a pretty hard core drummer.
I really wish you lived closer, I could use your sage (read wizened) ears right now. My weekend has been to say the least, devious.
More tomm, when I am not so freaking tired and more sober.
