Cult film recommendations!
1) Basket case:
Frank Henenlotters wonderful little film about a man named Duane and his very angry little parasitic twin named "Belial" who was surgically seperated at birth and pretty much tossed out in the trash.
Only Duane carries his little bro in a wicker basket, and Belial is rather twisted and pissed off at the doctors responsible for the seperation!
And yes.... i spelled separation wrong!
See this film.... fun, bizarre, and quite the classic.
2) Ms.45:
In all honesty, i am not the biggest fan of most of Abe Ferrara films...
but this one is an exception.
It's about a beautiful mute seamstress named "Thana" who goes off the deep end after being raped and goes on a killing spree, ridding N.Y.C. of crime and derelicts...
and dresses up as a sexy nun for a halloween party before shooting off a few more unsuspecting folks.
Worth a look....
3)Daughters of Darkness:
Lesbian vampire film based on the legend of the infamous Elisabeth Bathory...
nuff said...
4) Over the Edge:
Matt Dillons first film! Bored kids in new suburbia.... misunderstood and not given enough attention...
go a little berserk and wreck shit up!
Based on a true story, with a great soundtrack featuring "The Cars" and
"Cheap Trick" ("Momma told me...yes she told me...i'd meet girls like you..."
Very underrated film and definitely worth a look...
5) "Gator Bait"
Claudia Jennings stars in this revenge flick...
former playmate of the year ( sadly enough she died in the seventies from a car accident)
She was quite the hottie!
She plays a cajun woman living in the bayou...taking vengeance on the scumbags that killed her sister..
lots of gratuitous butt shots and her bizarre take on that swamp cajun accent....
so bad its quite delightful!
anyway...
I'm off to bed..
