What can i say...
i got tired of looking at my ass

Hhmmm....

I was thinking about tear jerkers this morning, the kind of films you know are going to pull on those ol heartstrings, and yet....
You just have to watch them
fully knowing that the waterworks will come, the hankies will come out..... and that you will be sniffling for about an hour after the movie is over.

In fact, there are a few i've seen numerous times, and i always say the same thing to myself

"You already know whats coming..... don't you dare fucking cry this time!"

but i still do! whatever
A blubbering fool is what i am.

So therefore, i'm curious .....

TOP FIVE TEARJERKERS OF ALL TIME!!

c'mon.... we all have a few under our belt

I'll give you just a few to start with

1) Ordinary People
I saw this one a bit young..... and til this day it makes me
want to leap through the screen just so i can give a hug to
Timothy Hutton.

2) "Sophie's choice"
all the basic ingredients for a tearful festival, sad lady harboring a lot of secrets, doomed romance, mental illness....
and hey..... lets not forget that little stint in the concentration camp. Plus that damn choice Sophies gotta make!!

3) "E.T.... "
yeah, i cried.... i was just a small little Shelly!
so shoot me...... and then "phone home" biggrin

4) "Terms of endearment"
What?? You didn't cry? you heartless bastard!

5) and of course, the big nomination i know Dorwayin would want me to mention..
"Cinema Paradiso"
this film has one of the top most beautiful endings in a film ever. The ending is powerful and uplifting, and the pure epitome of what real love and friendship is about....
one of the few films that made me cry out of happiness...
and thats a rarity!

so yeah, there are five to ponder...
feel free to leave me some more ... smile

on another note....Toothpickmoe and incorrigible are getting married today!!

love kiss

As stereotypical as it is, "Romeo and Juliet". I don't cry, but it definately depresses me. I've felt what they felt and to lose it over something so stupid is something I can relate to.

And hell yeah I'm lovin' SG! I just wish I could be more active on this motherfucker! I wanna benefit you all, so I'm gonna try to photograph some of my soon-to-be-SG-friends!

I'm talking about the Baz Luhrmann version, highly stylized, modern day, etc.

I can relate to it more. And to top it all off it's so badass, and funny, and sad, and entertaining overall.

biggrin
