Today at the hospital, the doctors worked on a 12 wk old puppy that had ingested a small bag of heroin eeek

The puppy is doing fine at the moment.
Surprise, Surprise.....the owner resides in my lovely city of Brockton.

Years ago, when i lived in N.Y.C, i was working at a "Gentlemens club" ( a.k.a , fancy name for overpriced strip club with dress code and restaurant inside) and one of the patrons asked me where i was from in Ma.
I answered "I'm from Brockton"
He replied "Oh.....the crack capital of Massachusetts" and let out a chuckle.
After that, i always told folks i was from boston whatever

And because you give a shit, the list of songs i listened to today while driving in my car to and from work.

She is going with her Dad, who likes to occasionally take her on trips. Him and Mom divorced for 20 something years, it is his way of getting quality time. And I just plain wasn't invited.
I guess I could have bought a ticket and gone with, but it is not the trip that she and I would have together- he is going to want to do things with her that she and I would never dream of doing (like theatre- he is a theatre maniac- relates to the world, literally, in theatre language) so we will go together another tme. I'm still jealous.

And I'm with you on this seeing ourselves through ther people. I really don't have any idea how much is due to age- while I lament the lack of a socal scene, if I'm honest, most times I'd raher not be social. Can't have it both ways, now can I?
Internally, i still feel 26- but I catch mself with attitudes and saying things I would NEVER have at 26. And again, without external feedback, who knows which is the real one?

And I am indeed most fortunate in my wife. She is my one true best friend in the whole world.

Where in the City did you live? I grew up in Stamford and spent a ton of time in and around the Village. I miss those days, I dig Boston, but it isn't quite the same.
