why does it matter?

I see fairly often the question "could you date a stripper/cam girl/OF model?" and it always puzzles me, and I'll break down my confusion.

1. Women are fully realized humans, who had lives before meeting you (and after meeting you), and what they did for fun or work is not up to your approval or anything at all. So, if they do do those things, why is it any of your concern? (quick aside, any man who says that you don't have to do those things, he'll take care of you financially, is both insecure and controlling. Run far, run fast, and block him; nothing good will come from entertaining that - unless it's something you brought up first and talked to him about. Even then, the potential for abuse is pretty big)

2. If you meet someone and they tell you what they do for fun/work, and it's not something you agree with, you literally don't have to make a big deal about it. Thank them politely and wish them well (or ghost them if you can't have a conversation like a grown up)

3. A lot of women who do those things aren't "sluts" (using the derogatory meaning for this purpose) who are looking to screw everything that moves (if you are, definitely not judging you), so this would be where the whole communication thing comes into play. And, if she tells you that is something she's into, you get to decide if that's something you're comfortable with (no right or wrong answers to this, everyone has their own levels of comfort and boundaries). Just be honest from the get go and don't say something in the heat of the moment or that you think they want to hear or, Gods forbid, you try to "change" them later after you've been together a while.

Personally, I can think of a lot of other vocations I would react negatively towards than any listed above (politician and lobbyist are two of those). But above all, talk and keep an open mind in your interactions with others :)
