3. One of your comfort movies/series that you have seen more than 3 times.

Once again I'm trying @fredhincanada so here we go:

For me, shows that are funny, that have heart, genuine sadness and romance (since I can't have any in my own life, I have to have it in a show that pulls me in) are what I watch when I need comforting. Now yes, some of these shows have NOT aged well, but while I wouldn't watch them brand new nowadays, I watched them before and still enjoy them.

1. Scrubs. Zach Braff is one of those actors that you either love or hate, and while I haven't seen very many movies he was in, this show is still one of my top series (barring that unnecessary season 9). I may not have quite as active an imagination as JD does, but this show still tickles me in all the right ways.

2. How I Met Your Mother. From the start, I was hooked and all in on the premise of the show (having kids of my own). Were some of the characters very VERY flawed? Most definitely. But did they feel genuine? Most of the time, yes. And that ending still makes me cry, every single time.

3. Superstore. As someone who worked in retail briefly, this show got SO much right about that type of job. And, the romance that emerged between Jonah and Amy still moves me. Funny, honest, relevant, and so romantic, it's probably my most watched series (5 times all the way through, I think?)

4. Brooklyn 99. I've never been an Andy Samberg fan (although Palm Springs is one of my top 15 favorite movies), but my youngest urged me to watch it as he thought the episodes with the Pontiac Bandit were hilarious (oddly enough, I always skip episodes focusing on that character, for the most part, as I find him VERY annoying), and I'm so glad I did. The growth that ALL the characters did throughout the series was well done and well earned. And, unlike a lot of sitcoms, once two characters (Jake and Amy) got together, the writers never pulled some bullshit as splitting them apart to create drama. It's a lazy writing trope, and one I'm glad they skipped. Well worth the accolades it received over its run.

There you go. As before, if you want to do this, consider yourself tagged.

@fredhincanada  I haven't seen CT, and if you've worked retail you should definitely check out Superstore; glad you liked it sir!
