So a male coworker was asking me questions about SG (honestly, I get so many questions about this site when they could answer them on their own by just signing up, but that's neither here nor there), and he said, "So, you talk to the naked ladies?"
"The models, yes," I corrected.
"About what? Is it like sexy talk and stuff, like what you want to do to them or have them do to you?"
"Not usually, that's on different sites and you have to pay for that," I told him.
"Well, then, what could you possibly have to talk to them about?" he asked, very confused.
"Lots of stuff! Our interests, things going on in our lives, both good and bad. You know, like they're just people."
Now he was very confused. "But you've seen them naked," to which I nodded. "And have you ever, to their pictures, you know..." and here he made a jerking off motion.
I laughed. "It's generally not something that gets discussed, but yes the models are very much aware that they've been masturbated to all the time."
"But if you've fantasized about them, but you can't have them, but you still talk to them, and you see them naked..." I could see I had short-circuited his brain, so I tried to give him some clarity.
"You've been married what, 5 or so years?" He slowly nodded. "And before you got together with your wife, did you find her attractive?" Eyes narrowed, like it was some kind of trick, he nodded again. "And, thinking about her before you got together did you ever...?" And I made the jerking off motion this time. Grumbling, he averted his eyes and nodded again. "And lastly, before that happened did you only talk about sex, or did you actually talk to her about things you both were interested in, you day and stuff like that?"
"Well, no, I talked to her normal, cuz if I had came at her with that dirty talk she would've shot me down real quick. She didn't put up with that kind of nonsense."
"So, barring the pursuit of a romantic relationship, this situation is exactly like yours. The models and the members talk to each other like normal people, even though we've seen them naked and they know what we've done to pictures of them. It's not that difficult to understand, really." At that point I had to get back to work.
Now, I'm not trying to get him to sign up, but I don't think this concept is one that's too difficult to grasp. But then again, what the hell do I know?
