The other day a scammer hit me up on Twitter, and after a day of talking they gave me their variation of "When do you plan on retiring?" since for some reason all these scammers claim to work in banking. The mood I was in, I decided to go with brutal honesty.
"I will probably work until I die, like most Americans my age unless something drastic happens, which I don't think it will."
They paused for a few minutes and came back with, "well, what are your goals"
I answered, "To try not to die LOL"
They said, "I mean, what are your dreams?"
I replied, "I gave up on dreams years ago, they never come true. I am just existing until I'm not, since life is a never-ending series of pain and misfortune."
All they said in reply was, "You're very pessimistic," to which I replied, "No, I'm a realist and just see clearly." They stopped replying after that, and it's been a couple days now.
They never got to give me the "I can help you with your future," speech, which is just code for "I hope you're dumb enough to either give me money or access to your bank account" so that makes me chuckle. I short-circuited a scammer 😉😁🤣
