The other day at work, it was slow and with no customers around a bunch of employees were standing around talking shit, stuff like "You couldn't handle what I have in my pants" to "Sorry, I don't play with shrimp" to "I would wear you out!" to "my grip would make you a 3 pump chump", which I always enjoy listening to but never contribute.
(For the record, these were all people very comfortable around one another and if something got said that made someone uncomfortable, it was resolved quickly and everyone was just having fun)
After it broke up, one of my friends asked, "Hey Shane, how come you never join in?"
I replied, "Cuz I know who I am and what I have." They were confused, so I elaborated. "I know I'm not '8 inches of limp dick' like 1 of the guys said, and I haven't had sex in 5 1/2 years so I can't brag about my skills there. I mean, I have only had 3 partners and while I never heard complaints, they could've been just being nice."
(Also, I don't consider telling your partner what you do or don't like a complaint, that's just healthy communication)
They said, "Damn Shane, you could just lie or something. It's all just for fun."
I said, "I don't lie, especially to myself. What's the point?" They shook their head and walked away. Lying -even to yourself- is never good, at least in my opinion...
