I thought it was deeply flawed, but also a lot of fun and genuinely enjoyable. Either of the stars are good enough to carry any damn thing they're in. I wish they had either leaned harder into spoofing RomComs or bothered to make that part less cringily unrealistic. Either they didn't know that they were satirizing or they wanted to have it both ways and play it it straight "enough".

Also, as DC residents the three of us watching all had the same reaction that follows anyone watching most movies set in their home town that's not NY or LA: appalled laughter. For example, the closest country we could even kind of match that landscape would be around Poolesville, which is OK since the vanity farms there are about as realistic as the one depicted, but it's at least an hour's drive, yada yada. That's not really a gripe, though, as movies do that stuff all time.
