Recently I've noticed that a lot of models submit their sets still showing any scars, stretch marks, cellulite or other "blemishes" on them and not airbrushed out, and I think that's a wonderful trend. Whether it's the models being more comfortable/confident in their skin, the photographers wanting to give a more realistic approach to the set, something else or a combination of multiple factors, I think it's a great shifting of what we define as beautiful.
Now obviously I have no skin in this game (there have never been nor will there ever be any pictures of me nude on the internet LOL), but I still think it's very refreshing. Very few of us humans have "flawless" skin and/or features, and the ones that do are the exceptions and not the norms. So getting to see humans in all their perfectly imperfect glory is amazing.
And, this should go without saying, but if a model and/or photographer decide to airbrush and remove any "imperfections", that's really no one's business but theirs. Some people have a vision for a set and don't want "reality" getting in the way, some people have issues with their body, and some people are just self-conscious about things they have, and all of these are completely valid reasons to not present the human body as is.
So I am here for this new beauty definition, however long it lasts. Great job to everyone that decides to just let themselves BE.
