I was talking to a few female friends at work and they were telling me horror stories about their exes and I realized a common thread in their stories, and every single woman I've talked to: they all have a story of basically just laying back and saying something along the lines of (even if just to themselves), "Just get it over with." Every. Single. Woman.
Now, I'm not talking about if a partner isn't really in the mood but they go along with it because they love and care for their partner (maybe it's been a while, maybe they're tired but their partner is wide awake, etc...), cuz that's totally different than my first example. And I'm not talking about date rape either, cuz that's still rape and should NEVER get a pass. No, what I'm talking about just being done and yet not wanting the fight that would go along with flat out refusal.
I don't know if any lesbian has also had this scenario, and I don't know if gay men go thru this, but it sure seems like the straight male has a monopoly on being more of a shitty partner than any other group. And, I don't really have any advice or way out of it, because sometimes for some women just laying back is better than being physical or verbally abused, which is still all kinds of fucked up. I just don't know :'(
