I am off work for the day, I had a barbecue-related injury on the sole of my feet, so I had to take the day off or be complaining like a bitch at work. And that is just pure annoying when I do that.
The injury occurred when going to a housewarming party of someone I work with on saturday.
She i awsome by the way still had a great time there. And realised I am growing up that is shit but good at the same time, it was weird as well as they were mostly women and either italian or french born and raise, which made the day awsomely cool with all the accents and the customary kisses on cheeks. There were also kids there 2 babies and one 6 six year old, at this point realised I was indeed at a grownups bbq.
Well anyway as I am actually quite good with kids and was entertaining one of the with a game of catch with some other adults, I jocking picked her up and we went about carying on playing catch but I didnt realise there was this random metal pole sticking out of the grass and I stepped on it with it cutting my foot. The cut wasn't so bad as the skin on the foot is quite thick but it did bleed and next thing I know everyone is gathered aroud trying to give me first aid which was hilarious as we had all been drinking (Not inclusing the kids). But it didn't feel that bad so I carried on walking on it but the next day it swelled a bit and hurt.
So I'm off today but should be ok for tomorrow.
As I called in sick and then went back to bed, I had everyone I work with who was at that bbq, called to see if I was ok but I was like you all work in the same building just one of you could call but I took them all and answered politely as it was a nice gestures by them all. Although the extra hours of undisturbed sleep would be nice as usually I only get 6 hrs.
But that was my weekend all the people I saw at the bbq became a little bit more better friends so thats good when I am trying to make this position Permanent not contract at the end of the year. And got alot of people said that I was very good with kids, so that will help in them introducing me to their hot single french and /or italian single friends. I know it's not I do it for but it's a good by-product.

I have actually seen someone fall on a BBQ
I noticed that the same actors crop up in, The migthy boosh, darth merenghi, It crowd, nathan barley .....und so weiter. I really didn't find the mighty boosh funny a first but I have sircomed
