hiya back at you!

if my lot is drawn to be allowed to go on the Nijmegen march (it's done on a lottery system of those who registered), it'll be my first major walking event, so i don't really know about the herd thing....

i know during shorter volksmarches i'm basically all by myself no matter who is around...

i would say it's not really either (herding or will) -at least for me... i train alone and after the first three miles or so my body loosens up & switches into "traveling mode". from there on i only leave enough of myself conscious and aware to not run into thing, trip and so that i can note trail markers. the rest of me i just switch to the back of my mind and dream during it until the end. passing the time while the body works. relaxing

best of luck with the classes, i hope they are enjoyable & not the tedious sort haha.
