Why are girls so flippin' sensitive?!?
Okay, so I have a friend, Sam, and she's a totally cool person, and we've got a lot of inside jokes (like, "the Alaskans").
One of the jokes is that I stink. She'll say, "Glad you took a shower-- now you don't stink so much" and I laugh and "apologize" for my "smell", and we all smile and it's good fun.
And I joke around and call her a "hippy," because she's into flowing skirts, and folk music and natural remedies, and she wants to move to a commune.
Yesterday, she tells me that she's sick of me always "picking" on her, and that it's "totally not cool".
WTF? Is there someone in the audience who can explain this???

It sounds to me like calling you smelly is a lot worse than you calling her a hippy. I think if it hurt her feelings so much, then she should have told you in the first place *shrugs*
