I brought my cat in today to be neutered and front-declawed. He looked very sad when the vet took him away. I hope everything goes well.
Too bad the scheduled date was a day too late though; Morris started spraying yesterday -- starting under Mike's waterbed, where none of us can reach to clean it up. Boy does that room STINK!
And now the vet says because he's started spraying, that means he might not stop, and if he does stop it'll take a month. She recommended we lock him in a small space with his litter box so he learns to spray in the box, not on the furniture.
We'll see.
Now, I've gotta go get some newspaper, cuz Morris won't be able to use regular cat litter until his paws heal up.
AND IF ONE PERSON MENTIONS HOW "inhumane" it is to declaw a cat, I'll punch them right in the kisser!

softclaws are 100% effective if you read the directions. My vet recommended them, and they will even apply them for you. They last about a month, but of course they fall off -- as the claw grows. A $20 supply lasts about six months. But whatever. Your karma.

poor cat. i hope he never wonders into the great outdoors, he'd be defenseless.
